What Are The Different Forms Of Research:
There are several types of different forms of research that people use in order to gather all different types of information. The different ways they use to find out information is the research. The main types are:
Qualitative Research:
This is designed to reveal a target audience's range of behavior as well as the conceptions that drive it with reference to specific topics or issues. An easy explanation for qualitative research involves the research on events which have great difficulty in quantifying, mathematically. For example, meanings, attributes, beliefs and many more. When you think of the term 'Qualitative Research' think along the lines of the word 'quality', it's more in depth as you take your time in asking people questions more directly than by using a survey to find out information. The main strategies of Qualitative Research are: Observations, Artifacts, Interviewing and Focus groups.
Quantitative Research:
This is any data that is in numerical (number) form such as statistics, percentages, etc. It's mainly about socializing with people by asking them questions in return of opinions they have to be structured so that you can produce difficult facts and statistics to guide you. It's very important that if you're surveying people in a large amount that they are clearly a representative sample of your target market, this is the people you were originally going to target.
Advertising Campaign :
This campaign is simply being advertisded by using a crashed car, with the broken pieces on the ground. However, the car also represents the action of a cigarette being ashed onto the floor. In terms of colour the picture has been created to represent the same colours or near enough to the same as a cigarette. The font used in this campaign wasn't made to stand out it's quite small but bold.Target Audience :
The target audience of this specific product varies, and the reason for this can simply be explained. The products that this company produce are nicotine patches, anti-smoking cigarettes and many more anti-smoking products. Demographics and Psychographics are two terms which are used to bring out further detail in target audiences, demographics are used to classify an audience into age, gender, race and other categories. On the other hand, psychographics are used to classify an audience into their personalities, lifestyles, interest and opinions etc.
My Product
The product i've used to research on is a watch however, these watches aren't just simple watches. Rolex is the largest single luxury watch brand, which is able to produce approximately 2,000 watches per day, they also had an estimated revenue of $7.4 billion in 2012. Rolex watches have become the standard in luxury watchmaking since the company itself was founded by Hans Wilsdorf in 1905. It's the most copied watch, with tens of thousands of counterfeits flooding the market anually. Rolex have many secret codes which differs them from any other watchmaking company. One of them is the Rolex coronet logo which is micro-etched into the watch below the 6 o'clock mark which can only be viewed clearly with a jeweler's loupe.
